En esta nueva aventura, el Hada Justina al ser despedida empieza a destruir la ciudad junto al Abuelo, que ha escapado de la cárcel metiendo a Perico en su lugar. Policán y sus amigos deben detenerlos.

Como siempre, estos cómics no destacan por su realismo ni por su prosa, pero algunos de los personajes, como Periquito, son entrañables. Este pequeño gato, desde su inocencia, solo quiere ayudar a los demás haciéndose amigo incluso de los villanos, viendo en estos la vulnerabilidad y lo que realmente hay debajo de ellos.

Tiene algún que otro golpe de humor y está bien para pasar un buen rato.

“Atrapa 22” es el octavo título de la serie “Policán”, escrita por Dav Pilkey.

Dav Pilkey, el creador del famoso cómic infantil protagonizado por el “Capitán Calzoncillos” presenta en este libro las primeras aventuras de un policía muy especial. El agente Caballero y su perro Greg, forman una pareja simpática, aunque no muy efectiva a la hora de cumplir las órdenes de su jefe. El agente es un hombre físicamente duro, pero su cerebro no da para mucho y en cambio Greg es muy listo pero su cuerpo es poca cosa. Después de sufrir un atentado, provocado por el malvado gato Perico, uno y otro quedan muy malparados y es dudoso que sobrevivan a sus graves heridas. En esta situación, el equipo médico que los atiende decide recomponer a ambos e implantar la cabeza intacta del perro Greg en el cuerpo de Caballero, mucho menos dañado que el suyo. El resultado es un nuevo ser, llamado “Policán”, el policía medio humano medio perro, inteligente y fuerte, al que sólo le falta hablar. En los sucesivos capítulos el autor narra el desempeño de su tarea policial en cuatro asuntos que consigue culminar con éxito. Intriga y humor se funden en unas historietas divertidas e imaginativas cuyo humor surrealista se adapta al gusto del público infantil al que van dirigidas. La realización gráfica se corresponde adecuadamente al texto sin incurrir en excesos extravagantes.

Las travesuras del protagonista, un niño a punto de dejar de serlo, inducen a su madre a darle una carta de despido legal que será efectivo a los treinta días de la fecha de recibo. El hijo no toma en serio la actitud materna, pero la mañana en que expira el plazo se ve en la calle, sin dinero y con un ligero equipaje. “Querido hijo, estás despedido”, de Jordi Sierra i Fabra, pone de manifiesto, en duro tono crítico, el egoísmo de unos hijos criados con excesivo mimo, que se creen con derecho a recibir todo sin dar nada a cambio, sólo en razón de su condición filial. Aunque el estilo es sencillo y ligero, no oculta la severidad de la denuncia que expresa.
